Cane Corso is an Italian breed of Mastiff, they are usually kept as a companion or guard dog and may also be used to protect livestock, because of this they require consistent stimulation and exercise. Their temperament is stable, even, intelligent, loyal, fearless and highly trainable.   Apartment living would not be an appropriate environment for this type of dog.  They thrive best in a home environment that can provide a fenced yard for exercise and a family that can provide consistency with training and exercise.  

 Cane Corso are very intelligent and physically powerful dogs that can quickly become a handful if they're not properly stimulated, trained and socialized. It would be recommended that any first time dog owner read about the breed, educate themselves on training and enroll into puppy training classes. 

 Cane Corso's are great with kids, they are loyal and affectionate family dogs. They are gentle, cautious, and kind around children. If properly raised and socialized their protective nature will shine, and they will do great with babies, toddlers, and older kids.
